12th December 2011 - 2011/2012 Christmas Shoot.

This years Christmas fun shoot will be held on Sunday 18th December (NO SHOOT ON 25TH DECEMBER). A special course will be set just for this day only, and there will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes. 

22nd October 2011 - Essex Air Ambulance Charity Shoot.

12th October 2011 - Competition Winners.

The 2011 season winners have now been posted on the competition winners page, along with some photos of the presentations. Congratulations to the winners. 

As the 2012 season is already underway, good luck to everyone taking part.

24th September 2011 - New season competitions.

The new 2011/2012 competition season is upon us, and with it comes some changes to the events. After listening to members comments/complaints (yes there has been some), a new events list has been drawn up. We have tried to accommodate as many people as possible, while at the same time offering as much variety as possible. This coupled with the need to factor in the usual weather conditions, special events etc etc, we have hopefully covered everything!

So the changes are: Springer competitions will now consist of 8 competitions, and these will take place with the pistol competitions. The open competitions will remain as 12 competitions, but will take place on the first Sunday shoot of each month. This should allow us some flexibility to include some special shoots or should the unthinkable happen "a cancellation shoot".

The calendar/events list has been updated on the information page, so you can see the planed layout for the year. The calendar at the top right of every page is in the process of being updated, and this will be completed soon.

Note: The calendar/events list is NOT updated during the year, but the calendar at the top of every page is updated. Please don't assume an event is happening, always check the calendar at the top first.

10th August 2011 - Changes to the shooting calendar.

In order to facilitate preparations for the 2012 competitions, and the 2011 THW presentations. The last Pistol competition and the two remaining Springer competitions for this season will not take place. These competitions are now closed for this season. The PCP (open) competition will be completed, but the final PCP shoot will be moved to the 4th September. The dates to note are:

Pistol Competition - Now CLOSED.
Springer Competition - Now CLOSED.
PCP Competition (11 of 12) - 21st August.
PCP Competition (12 of 12) - 4th September.
THW 2011 season presentation - 18th September.

The calendar at the top of the page has been updated.

18th May 2011 - Essex Air Ambulance Charity Shoot.

This was a great success and sincere thanks must go to Tony and Karen for organizing such a good day out. The amount raised on the day was a staggering £660. This will be winging it's way to the Essex Air Ambulance Service very soon. Well done to everyone who took part. Your support for this event is very much appreciated.
